Young People & Children's work

The centre runs both a boys group and girls group and an after School club for children. Some work within the School concentrates on working with children around the importance of Animal welfare. Youth work which targets 13-19 year old is an important feature of the weekly programme and includes work which targets young people who have learning disabilities and supportive adults as volunteers.

The Bede centre 'Cabin' out of School care project runs for 50 weeks per year and offers subsidised childcare places for families in the East Gateshead area. During term time the project offers pre-school breakfasts and up to 24 after School places. During holiday, 16 child places are available for full time care.
